Started by the Norwegian Business Association (Singapore) in 1998, the Norway-Asia Business Summit has evolved into a high-level meeting place for Norwegian business interests in Asia and the support apparatus of the Norwegian government s well as the diplomatic missions in the region. As such it truly represents the “Team Norway” concept. After successful summits in Shanghai (2010), Singapore (2011), Jakarta (2013), Bangkok (2014), New Delhi (2015), the 2016 Summit is back in the Lion City.[/column]

Singapore was recently recognised as the world’s most important maritime centre, followed by Oslo in third place. Singapore holds a strong position in offshore oil and gas and as an entry point to important growth markets in the region. These are believed to be the reasons why Singapore has the biggest concentration of Norwegian businesses within Asia. The summit will also give attention to successful entrepreneurship in Asia, and to the ASEAN region, especially on how Norwegian[/column]
