Sigve Brekke is Executive Vice President and Head of Asian operations in Telenor Group, and has been part of Group Executive Management since 2008.
Mr Brekke joined Telenor in 1999 as Manager Business Development and later Managing Director of its Singapore office. He has been an important part of Telenor’s development in Asia over the last decade. He served as co-CEO of Thai mobile operator dtac (part of the Telenor Group) from 2002 to 2005, and CEO in dtac from 2005-2008. He has also served as Managing Director of Uninor, Telenor’s operation in India, from 2010 to 2013.
Prior to joining Telenor, Sigve Brekke served as the Deputy Minister (State Secretary) of Defence in Norway 1993-1996 and has also been an associate research fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in the USA. Sigve Brekke holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
