Professor Torger Reve
Torger Reve is Wilh Wilhelmsen Professor of Strategy and Industrial Competitiveness at BI Norwegian Business School, where he has also previously been President for two terms. He was also been professor at NHH Norwegian School of Economics and CEO of the Foundation for Research in business and economics (SNF). Torger Reve has a PhD from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago and has been a visiting researcher at Stanford, Harvard and University of Carolina at Chapel Hill and at several leading Asian universities such as Hitotsubashi (Tokyo), Fudan (Shanghai) and NTU and NUS (Singapore).
Torger Reve is best known for his research on industrial clusters and global knowledge hubs, and he has headed several large national research projects resulting in such books as Competitive Norway (1992), Value-based Norway (2002) and Knowledge-based Norway (2012). Torger Reve is member of several corporate boards, serves as a strategy consultant to major companies, and he lectures to business and government audiences on strategy and competitiveness worldwide.
