Dr. Pramath R. Sinha

DR. Pramath Sinha is a Senior Director of Albright Stonebridge Group, drawing on extensive business and technology experience in India to help clients with business operations in the region from his base in New Delhi. Mr. Sinha has helped blue-chip Indian companies become world-class organizations, and has helped multinational corporations successfully navigate the challenges of setting up operations in India

He is also the Founder and Managing Director of 9.9 Mediaworx Pvt. Ltd., an Indian media company that spans print and online media, and provides expertise in research, conferences and events.

Dr. Sinha spent 12 years as a Partner of McKinsey & Company, where he assisted both public and private sector clients in a diverse set of industries on business strategy and performance improvement in North America and Asia. Among other roles, he led McKinsey India’s telecom, IT and media practices as well as its organisation practice, where he focused on issues of transformation and leadership.

He was the Founding Dean and currently serves on the Board of the Indian School of Business (ISB), an initiative led by McKinsey and a group of leading Indian business leaders, in partnership with the Kellogg School of Management and the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania. Today, the ISB is regarded as one of India’s leading business schools and was ranked 12th in the 2010 Financial Times ranking of global business schools.

Previously, Mr. Sinha was the Managing Director & CEO of the ABP Group, one of India’s leading and most diversified media conglomerates with leading properties in the newspaper, magazine, and TV genres. He also serves on the Board of Directors of BILT, India’s largest pulp and paper company, and is the Chairman of the Board of Elephant Capital PLC, a U.K. AIM-listed (alternative investment management) private equity firm.

Mr. Sinha earned his M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
