Gard Madsen is director for Invest in Norway. He is responsible for the global activity in attracting foreign direct investments to Norway, ensuring the continued development of sustainable industries. He has a Master of Science degree from the NHH Norwegian School of Economics. He started his career in the shipping industry, he then held senior positions and board memberships in several major companies in the maritime industry, such as R.S Platou Shipbrokers, Borgestad ASA and Aker Borgestad Operations. Gard has also worked several years with business development in Herøya Industripark, one of the largest industrial parks in Norway. He started working in Innovation Norway in 2022 as an investment manager in team Invest in Norway, before taking on responsibility as director from 2023.
