Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul, PhD is an Assistant Secretary General, Supervise BCG Industry Division
and Services Industry Division in Investment and International Affairs Department. Mrs Cholachit was previously an Assistant Secretary General, Macroeconomic Affairs (responsible for the Corporate Strategy Department), an Executive Director of the Office of the Secretary-General (responsible for Management and Strategic Affairs) and International Affairs Division at the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand, a vital public agency and business facilitator that coordinates closely with other public authorities and private sectors to encourage investment, uplift innovation, and advanced technology in Thailand for future generations. Recently, Mrs Cholachit has also been appointed to be Sub-Committee for Promotion of Trade, Investment and Comprehensive Logistics on the (Draft) The Thirteenth National Economic and Social Development Plan (2023-2027), be a member of Working Group Management of Labour Demand and Supply in EEC, The Committee on Labor, Senate, and be a Sub-Committee for Economic Statistics, National Statistical Office.
Mrs Cholachit graduated from Chulalongkorn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. She earned her M.A. in Economic Development and Policy Analysis and PhD in Economics with a Postgraduate Studentship from the University of Nottingham, UK
