Luxmon has extensive experience in the fields of economic policy, innovation and competitiveness, and international cooperation. Currently, Luxmon serves as a committee member of the Global Partnership Program at the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness under the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council. She is also an Advisor on Thailand Partnerships for the World Bank.

Luxmon Attapich was an Advisor to the President of Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), a planning and budget allocation body for Science Research and Innovation in Thailand. During 2017-2021, Luxmon was the Deputy Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) of Thailand where she was in charge of investment incentives, regulatory sandbox and international affairs. Before joining the EECO, Luxmon was a Senior Country Economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). She took care of macroeconomic and economic policy analysis, managed the capital market development program for Thailand and was also in charge of technical assistance programs on financial inclusion, specialised financial institutions, public private partnership (PPP), and water management. Before joining ADB, Luxmon was the Chief of Staff to Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister during 2000 – 2005.

Luxmon received her BA in Political Sciences from Chulalongkorn University, a post graduate degree in Economics from University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Hull in the UK.
